Master Sergeant Mark S Israel

Master Sergeant Mark S. Israel, trumpet, hails from Tomahawk, Wisconsin. He holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and a Master of Music Degree in Performance from the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley. Sergeant Israel was selected by the International Trumpet Guild for two consecutive years as a winner in the ITG jazz solo competition. In 1981, he was selected by Downbeat Magazine for their annual vocal jazz award. Sergeant Israel has been with The United States Air Force Academy Band since January 1986. He currently performs with the concert band, marching band and the Falconaires.
