Master Sergeant Scott
E Crump
Master Sergeant Scott E. Crump, trombone, hails from Summerville, South Carolina. Sergeant Crump received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Computer Science from Newberry College in 1985. Scott began his Air Force career in 1988 with The United States Air Force Band of Mid-America, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. In 1994, Scott received an overseas assignment with The United States Air Forces in Europe Band where he studied with Jiggs Whigham. Sergeant Crump joined the Band of the Air Force Reserve in 1998. Since that time he has performed with recording artists Faith Hill, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Crystal Gayle, and Ricochet. Sergeant Crump joined The United States Air Force Academy Band in 2003 where he performs with the concert band, marching band and the Falconaires. His awards include the Air Force Commendation Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster, and the Air Force Achievement Medal with Five Oak Leaf Clusters. In 1997, Sergeant Crump was awarded Public Affairs Bandsman of the Year for the entire band career field.
